When you and/or your eligible dependents become eligible for Medicare (normally at age 65), the Medicare-eligible individual will no longer receive company-sponsored medical or prescription drug coverage. However, the Medicare-eligible individual will have the option to enroll in a Medicare Supplement Plan administered by UnitedHealthcare.
Newly hired employees are not eligible to receive retiree medical benefits.
